Miniaturizing in chip technology, optics, micro mechanics, medicine, gene and biotechnology requires highly precise positioning techniques. The motivation for the new manipulation technology is the desire to enter the micro- and nanoworld not only by viewing but also acting, altering micro- and nanosized objects. A new era on medicine are expected to happen in the coming years. Due to the advances in the field of nanotechnology, nanodevice manufacturing has been growing gradually. From such achievements in nanotechnology and recent results in biotechnology and genetics, the first operating biological nanorobots are expected to appear in the coming 5 years and more complex diamondoid based nanorobots will become available in about 10 years. In terms of time, it means a very near better future with significant improvements in medicine.

Solche Leistungen in der Nanotechnologie und aktuelle Ergebnisse in der Biotechnologie und Genetik der erste operative biologische Nanoroboter werden voraussichtlich in den kommenden 5 Jahren erscheinen und komplexere Diamantoide basierte Nanoroboter in etwa zehn Jahren verf&uuml;gbar sein werden. In Bezug auf Zeit bedeutet dies eine bessere sehr nahe Zukunft mit erheblichen Verbesserungen in der Medizin.

HER2/Neu, eine Quelle von immunogen Peptide, dr&uuml;ckt sich &gt; 75 % der Patientinnen mit Brustkrebs. Wir haben klinische Studien mit dem E75 HER2/Neu-Peptid-Impfstoff bei Brustkrebspatientinnen mit unterschiedlichem HER2/Neu Ausdruck durchgef&uuml;hrt. Impfstoff Antwort basierend auf HER2/Neu-Ausdrucksebene wurde analysiert.

HER2/neu, a source of immunogenic peptides, is expressed in >75% of breast cancer patients. We have conducted clinical trials with the HER2/neu E75 peptide vaccine in breast cancer patients with varying levels of HER2/neu expression. Vaccine response based on HER2/neu expression level was analyzed.

Liver has evolved complex enzymatic mechanisms to detoxify a wide array of xenobiotic substances, ranging from dietary components to environmental toxins to pharmaceuticals. Activities of many steroid-metabolizing enzymes in adult rat liver microsomes are sexually differentiated. Toxic effects of lead and cadmium on hepatic tissue have been well established in our earlier studies. We thus monitored the effects of gestational and lactational coexposure to lead and cadmium on hepatic phase I and phase II xenobiotic- and steroid-metabolizing enzyme activities in both male and female F1 generation postnatal day (PND) 56 rats. Adult pregnant female rats were treated subcutaneously [0.05 mg/(kg body wt. day)] with sodium acetate (control group), lead acetate, and cadmium acetate separately and in combination throughout the gestational and lactational period. Hepatic phase I xenobiotic-metabolizing enzymes (NADPH- and NADH-cytochrome c reductase) activities significantly decreased significantly in all the metal-treated groups in both PND 56 male and female rats as compared with the control group. Hepatic phase II enzymes (uridine diphosphate-glucuronosyl transferase, gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase, glutathione-S-transferase, 17-beta-hydroxysteroid oxidoreductase) were also highly susceptible to all the metal-treated groups. The observed alterations in the oxidative stress and biochemical parameters in the liver of F1 generation male and female rats resulted from an independent effect of lead and/or cadmium and also from their interaction. Results suggest that early developmental exposure to lead and cadmium both alone and in combination can suppress the hepatic xenobiotic-metabolizing enzyme activities in the liver of F1 generation male and female rats in a sex-dependent manner.

Toxische Wirkungen von Blei und Kadmium auf hepatische Gewebe haben in unseren fr&uuml;heren Studien weithin durchgesetzt. Wir &uuml;berwachten daher die Auswirkungen der Schwangerschaftsdiabetes und lactational Coexposure f&uuml;hren und Kadmium auf hepatische phase I und phase II Xenobiotikum und Steroid-metabolisierenden Enzymaktivit&auml;ten in m&auml;nnliche und weibliche F1 Generation postnatale Tag (PND) 56 Ratten. Erwachsene Schwangere weibliche Ratten wurden subkutan behandelt [0,05 mg / (kg K&ouml;rper WT-Tag)] mit Natriumacetat (Kontrollgruppe), f&uuml;hren, Acetat und Kadmium-Acetat, einzeln und in Kombination w&auml;hrend des gesamten Schwangerschaftsdiabetes und lactational. Hepatische phase-I-Xenobiotikum-metabolisierenden Enzyme (NADPH und NADH-Cytochrom-C-Reduktase) Aktivit&auml;ten deutlich sank deutlich in allen Metall-behandelten Gruppen in beiden PND 56 m&auml;nnlichen und weiblichen Ratten verglichen mit der Kontrollgruppe. Hepatische Phase II-Enzyme (Uridin-Diphosphat-Glucuronosyl Transferase, Gamma-Glutamyl-Transpeptidase, Glutathion-S-Transferase, 17-Beta-Hydroxysteroid-Oxidoreduktase) waren auch sehr anf&auml;llig f&uuml;r alle Metall-behandelten Gruppen. Die beobachteten Ver&auml;nderungen in der oxidativen Stress und biochemische Parameter in der Leber von F1 Generation m&auml;nnlichen und weiblichen Ratten gef&uuml;hrt von einem unabh&auml;ngigen Effekt von Blei oder Kadmium und auch von deren Interaktion. Ergebnisse deuten darauf hin, dass fr&uuml;he Entwicklungsst&ouml;rungen Gef&auml;hrdung durch Blei und Cadmium sowohl alleine als auch in Kombination die Leber Xenobiotikum-metabolisierenden Enzymaktivit&auml;ten in der Leber von F1 Generation m&auml;nnlichen und weiblichen Ratten auf Geschlecht-abh&auml;ngigen Weise unterdr&uuml;cken kann.

Hypotension can be a manifestation of transfusion reactions, including acute hemolysis, bacterial contamination, transfusion-related acute lung injury, and anaphylaxis. In addition to hypotension, these reactions usually present with other characteristic symptoms and signs. In rare cases, hypotension is the only manifestation of a transfusion reaction. This reaction, characterized by early and abrupt onset of hypotension that resolves quickly once the transfusion is stopped, is referred to as acute hypotensive transfusion reaction (AHTR). We report a case of AHTR observed in a patient on angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor therapy. The Naranjo adverse drug reaction probability scale score indicated that the association between angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor therapy and AHTR was probable. If a patient on angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor therapy develops AHTR, it is important to recognize the need to switch to another class of antihypertensive medication, at least while the patient continues to require transfusion.

Neben Hypotonie pr&auml;sentieren diese Reaktionen in der Regel weitere Charakteristische Symptome und Zeichen. In seltenen F&auml;llen ist die Hypotonie die einzige Manifestation einer Transfusion-Reaktion. Diese Reaktion, charakterisiert durch fr&uuml;hzeitige und abrupt auftretende, Hypotonie, die schnell aufl&ouml;st, sobald die Transfusion gestoppt ist, bezeichnet man als akute hypotone Transfusion Reaktion (AHTR). Wir berichten &uuml;ber einen Fall von AHTR bei einem Patienten auf Angiotensin converting Enzym-Inhibitor-Therapie beobachtet. Das Naranjo unerw&uuml;nschten Reaktion Skala Wahrscheinlichkeitsergebnis zeigten, dass die Zuordnung zwischen Angiotensin converting Enzym-Inhibitor-Therapie und AHTR wahrscheinlich.
