Amrutha completed her post-graduation with a gold medal in pharmaceutical chemistry from SPMVV, India. She extensively researched on novel cinnamide and hydrazide derivatives. She synthesized new molecules and successfully conducted preclinical trials on albino rats and rabbits as a part of an anti-inflammatory study. This interlinking of chemistry with medicine became a driving force behind her passion for scientific research. During her university days, she won many elocution and writing competitions. Outside work, she is an ardent fan of F1 racing and never misses a race. She practices Tai Chi and Anapanasati meditation.
