Despite significant progress in recent years, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) remains a life-threatening condition with a mortality rate of approximately 40%. While advancements in mechanical ventilation practices and adjunct therapies have contributed to reduced mortality, the COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the urgent need for further innovation. The timely initiation of appropriate treatments, including novel therapies, has demonstrated the potential to significantly improve outcomes. This JOVE collection aims to highlight cutting-edge research and clinical practices in ARDS, fostering knowledge exchange and accelerating the translation of research into clinical practice. We encourage submissions that address topics such as novel ventilation strategies, patient-centered care, non-invasive ventilation, weaning strategies, the physiology and pathophysiology of ARDS, clinical trials, biomarkers, artificial intelligence, and educational and training initiatives. By sharing your expertise through visually engaging video manuscripts, you can contribute to the global effort to improve the care of patients with ARDS.
