Dr. Wang received his PhD from the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2006. Then he became a faculty at the Institute of Plant Protection, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (IPPCAAS). Since 2013, he has been an Associate Professor at IPPCAAS. His research mainly focuses on exploring the ecology of range expansion of invasive species over time and factors that determine the spread patterns that emerge. His work also includes predicting the potential distribution of invasive species for delimiting risk and targeting areas for monitoring and management. He has published more than 20 articles in reputed journals.
