Prof. Paul Vehroeven is MD, PhD at the Faculty of Medicine of St-Etienne and at the University Hospital of St-Etienne in France. He is head of the clinical lab of Bacteriology and Hygiene and Chair of Hospital Infection Control Committee at the University Hospital of St-Etienne. He is in charge of teaching microbiology to the students in second year of medical school. He is Co-PI of the GIMAP team (CIRI) located at the faculty of Medicine of St-Etienne. He currently works on host pathogens interactions with staphylococci. His work covers everything from clinical epidemiological studies to more fundamental research on the host response to S. aureus colonization and infection.
